What Is Fumigation?
Whole-structure fumigation involves enclosing your home in a tent and introducing Vikane (sulfuryl fluoride) gas. The gas penetrates every piece of wood in the structure — including areas that are inaccessible to localized treatments — eliminating all drywood termites at every life stage.
Fumigation is recommended when drywood termite infestations have spread to multiple areas of the structure, when localized treatments have failed, or when a thorough inspection reveals widespread activity in attic framing, wall voids, or multiple rooms.

(386) 886-4500How It Works
The entire process takes 2–3 days. Here's what to expect.
We inspect your home, confirm drywood termite activity, and provide a detailed quote and preparation checklist.
You vacate the home, remove plants, pets, and certain food items. We coordinate with you on all preparation requirements.
We tent the structure and introduce Vikane gas. The gas penetrates all wood members over 24–48 hours, eliminating all termites.
We aerate the structure, test gas levels, and provide clearance for re-entry. No residue remains on surfaces.
FAQ
Typically 2–3 days. We'll give you a specific timeline based on your home's size and the treatment plan. We coordinate re-entry clearance before you return.
Yes. Vikane gas dissipates completely during aeration. We use certified equipment to verify gas levels are at safe thresholds before issuing re-entry clearance. There is no residue on surfaces, food, or belongings.
Plants, pets, and certain food items (anything not in sealed glass or metal containers). We provide a complete preparation checklist when you schedule.
Fumigation eliminates all termites present at the time of treatment but does not provide ongoing protection. We recommend sealing entry points and annual inspections to prevent re-infestation.
Yes, though it requires coordination with the HOA or building management. We have experience with multi-unit fumigation and can assist with the coordination process.
